| Job Description: Our client, a public held, biomedical company located just west of Boston, is seeking a Sr. Corporate Accountant to join their accounting & finance organization.
This key position will report to the General Accounting Manager and interface often with senior accounting and finance personnel. This role requires excellent attention to detail, a strong technical background in accounting, strong analytical skills and the motivation to learn and willingness to accept new challenges.
Responsibilities:
Financial Close Responsibilities;
Various asset and liability account reconciliations
Participation in quarterly reviews and year-end audit preparation
Participation in the consolidation process including foreign currency translation
Adherence to SOX controls and processes
Identify, design and implement process improvements
Special projects as necessary
Qualifications:
B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance
Three to five years of corporate accounting experience (preferably with a public)
Strong U.S. GAAP, exposure to international accounting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, high energy, team player
Experience with Oracle a plus
CPA a plus
